The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes Benz GLK350. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, there was a loud sound coming from the sunroof. The contact stated that there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed with the cassette part that needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, after retrieving the vehicle, the contact stated that an abnormal sound was coming from the sunroof. The sunroof glass shattered and glass shards fell onto the contact. The contact then took the vehicle back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the sunroof needed to be replaced. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that she would receive a callback. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes-Benz Glk350. While driving approximately 45 mph, the sun roof shattered. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to lokey automotive group (located at 27758 us hwy 19 N, clearwater, fl 33763, (727) 799-2151) where the contact was informed that there was no evidence to prove that the sun roof was struck by debris and that the fracture was due to a manufacturer defect. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the vehicle was repaired for free. The approximate failure mileage was 51,850.
