We bought the pre-owned 2014 Mercedes-Benz in 06/03/219.

My husband on the next day 06/04/2019 was looking at the car and noticed that the clear paint all over the car had small bubbles. We went back to the Mercedes-Benz dealer ship, and told them about it, they said their was nothing that they could do about it. So sometime went buy and then we went on line and there is some kind of lawsuit filled against Mercedes-Benz.

I believe that Mercedes should be responsible for the cost of painting the car.

We actually just found out this year (07/2024) about the (MAR RED PAINT) lawsuit been filled.

I hope that this will help my situation.

Thank You,

My car was in the dealership to get some parts fixed the same day, at Euro Motors in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. When it was returned back afterwards, I saw the paint was all bubbled. I asked the Mercedes dealer, and they say don't know the color paint of the car. It's ugly after the bubble. I am very disappointed. I thought the car dealer car wash messed up my car.

There are tiny pockets of air or bubbles formed under the paint. It is very visible and unacceptable. It is all over the car. The Mercedes dealership service advisors immediately noticed it as I showed them, but approval to fix this paint issue is 'pending." As soon as it was rubbed on by the service manager to take photos, it got far worse. It is now dull and faded out on areas where paint bubbles were. The certified Mercedes-owned body shop says they have already repainted many cars with Mars Red paint beyond the 50,000 mile factory warranty due to a Mercedes paint quality issue, but unfortunately I am personally having a hard time getting the same treatment for my case. You think when you buy a nice car, the paint should last more than 3 years. EXTREMELY disappointing. This is my second Mercedes, possibly my last!!

Update from May 26, 2017: Great news! Mercedes agreed there was a quality problem with the paint. They repainted my entire car at no cost as they have also done for several others in this same red paint color. Problem solved!
