This is to notify you of the Service Campaign Launch to update the SCN coding for the drive unit DRVU Control Unit in 66,944 Model Year (MY) 2023 C-Class, GLC, S-Class, and SL (206, 223, 232, and 254 platform) vehicles. The vehicles will be visible and flagged in VMI as OPEN on April 5, 2024.
Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2023 C-Class, GLC, S-Class, and SL (206, 223, 232, and 254 platform) vehicles, the DRVU control unit does not correspond to current production specifications. As a result, an incorrect fault stored message may appear (e.g. U188D00 and U015400) in the instrument cluster, indicating a missing signal, when in fact such signal is not required at this time.
MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the SCN coding for the DRVU Control Unit.
