THE FACT THAT THE SEAT IS TORN IN A 3 YEAR OLD MERCEDES E350 WITH ONLY 37,000 MILES IS A TESTIMONY OF THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIAL AND THE WORKMANSHIP. I REACHED OUT TO MERCEDES BENZ USA AND TO MY DISAPPOINTMENT THEY DID NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. THE SEAT IS MADE OF VINYL, NOT LEATHER. THE BOTTOM SEAT IS TORN, SO ALSO IS THE BACK. THE ARM REST ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS CRACK. THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP ESTIMATED THE COST OF REPAIR FOR $1400+ AND THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ARMREST.
TO MY DISAPPOINTMENT, MERCEDES BENZ USA, INSTEAD OF TAKING CARE OF THEIR INFERIOR PRODUCT REFUSED TO PICK UP THE COMPLETE COST OF REPAIR. THEY OFFERED TO PAY $300. TOWARDS THE OVER $1400 REPAIR COST QUOTED BY THE DEALERSHIP. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THE ACTIONS OF MERCEDES BENZ, USA WHICH VERY WELL TELL THE CONSUMER THAT THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.
HAVING PREVIOUSLY OWNED AND DRIVEN THREE MERCEDES FOR OVER 30 YEARS, I THINK ONCE I GET THE SEAT REPAIRED, I WILL GET RID OF THE E350 AND WILL NEVER BUY A MERCEDES AGAIN. NOW TO ALL WHO WANT TO BUY A MERCEDES, CHECK THE QUALITY OF THE SEAT COVER AND BE AWARE THE MERCEDES BENZ, USA WILL NOT BE THERE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.
