Takata recall it has been a year since the notification of a side air bag defect which could injure or kill a passenger, and I have heard nothing from Mercedes Benz. The local dealer in sarasota, fl says they have no information regarding the replacement. If they are manufacturing vehicles with safe air bags, then why can't they fix mine?
My local dealer (Mercedes Benz of fort myers) has not had the parts to fix this recall, and has no idea when they will have them. It's been two years since the recall was issued, with no resolution.

Takata recall - I was notified when I purchased my Mercedes Benz E350 coup in April of 2017 a recall was necessary. I have repeatedly contacted Mercedes Benz of henderson, nv to replace the passenger airbag. They say there is no remedy available as of yet and none in the near future. I am concerned the airbag may deploy and injure or kill myself or my passenger. I need to know what steps to take to remedy the recall failure of Mercedes Benz. No problems as of yet but am concerned for the future.

I received a letter from Mercedes Benz asking me to make an appointment with a dealer to get the repairs made to the faulty airbags. The dealer on 5 occasions has said that they don't have the necessary parts.

Takata recall I received a notice at the beginning of the year about the recall but the manufacturer has not provided the dealerships with the ability to correct the issue.
Takata recall for airbags are not being taken seriously by the dealership and they keep delaying fixing the airbag. The dealership is the laguna niguel Mercedes where we bought the car from.

I received a letter from Mercedes in March 2017 that my vehicle needs to have it's air bag replaced. My dealer in Mercedes dealer in calabasas has had no approval or instructions to replace the bag at that time and is not replacing my airbag. I just spoke to Mercedes calabasas on 11/3/2017 with the same answer. Please replace my air bag...its been one year and I have been worried that my air bugs will not deploy. I was in an accident and no air bag deployment when someone backed into the front of my car while I was stationary. I buy an expensive car and I have to wait over a year for a defective air bag..this is unacceptable! the fact I have had this car since it was manufactured with a defective bag is not Mercedes way of doing business.
