After hitting 40 MPH and driving c. 1-2 miles, the Stability Control and Traction Control inoperable warning pops up in display causing car to go into Limp Mode (not able to drive above 20 MPH or allow car to shift out of 1st or 2nd gear - won't even pull a small hill). Sometimes, car will completely die causing me to QUICKLY get off the road. Says to contact MB service. Car just slow cranks when trying to start and won't go into park or any other gear. After sitting for about 25-30 minutes, car starts and will allow you to drive the aforementioned 1-2 miles before going into Limp. Had it towed to a technician (not MB as the nearest dealership is an hour away). They didn't have the STAR program to diagnose. Ultimately, they determined it is the ECM (electronic control module). Said it would be about $2,490 to repair. I am disabled and was forced to retire because of multiple organ issues. I make $890 a month and am single and live alone. I don't have the $$ to fix it and can't get to medical appointments easily. I always had nice, newer cars but bought this MB (a 1 owner, well maintained car owned by a local physician) in January 2022. I still owe $2,130 on the car and make payments. I can't get a loan to fix it because of my income. I am in a dire position now. This problem has caused me great anguish and depression and created new health issues.
