My original concern was the gas fumes that were both inside and outside the vehicle. My more recent concern is a gas gauge that is constantly showing no gas but no low fuel indicator whether the gas tank is full or low. The first repair Nov2015 cost $652.06 to replace the fuel pump. I drove the vehicle after that repair with a gas gauge that was not acting correctly. I thought that I was keeping a reasonable mental log of fuel use but costed to a stop on a busy Interstate on a Sunday evening just after dark. The second repair Feb2016 cost $698.55 to replace auxillary fuel pump. After the second repair, the gas gauge has stopped displaying any indication of fuel and the low fuel indicator is not lit. I am now driving with gas receipts in the mileage written on each one to estimate the gas level.
