MERCEDES E320 REVIEW

I just set up this page to try and inform potential buyers of the newly designed 2003 MERCEDES E320 and the ongoing problems that this 2003 MERCEDES has had. The car is a 2003 MERCEDES E320. The 2003 MERCEDES E320 was purchased new by me. Within a couple of months the left rear strut was broken on the car. The dealership replaced the one unit that broke. The 2003 MERCEDES E320 then had the other strut break on the other side a month later. The dealership by the way is Sunrise Motors of Massapequa, New York. (Long Island). So far I am not sure which is worse... The 2003 Mercedes E320 or SUNRISE MOTORS OF MASSAPEQUA. I then started having electrical problems with the lighting system... first the left headlight needed replacing after a few months.... then the right headlight needed replacing.... then the right headlight needed replacing.... then the left running light needed replacing.... GET THE PICTURE!!!! My wonderful 2003 MERCEDES E320 seemed to have an obvious electrical problem but the wonderful service managers at SUNRISE MOTORS of Massapequa continued to tell me it was the lights themselves. At one point I had two blow out on opposite sides of the MERCEDES E320 when I went through a carwash. SUNRISE MOTORS still said it was faulty bulbs that were causing the problem. Finally my piece of junk 2003 MERCEDES E320 was diagnosed with a faulty harness and they fixed a part of that, they told me on one of my monthly visits to have this piece of junk 2003 MERCEDES E320 repaired. The moonroof on the 2003 MERCEDES E320 sticks occasionally and SUNRISE MOTORS couldn't fix that the first time either. The front end wheelwells on the Mercedes E320 squeal like hell all of the time. (Actually it is only when you hit any minor bump at all while driving the 2003 MERCEDES E320. I went back to have it repaired and for some unknown reason the mechanics at SUNRISE MOTORS of MASSAPEQUA decided that the appropriate fix was to "oil and grease" the dashboard!!!(That is what it said on the invoice... couldn't make this stuff up)) Of course that did nothing and back I went a couple of weeks later. This time it was the "balljoint assemblies" that were deemed defective and the culprit would be fixed. Of course three days later my beloved 2003 MERCEDES E320 squeaked as much as ever when I picked it up. They also had a company recall on the braking system that needed to be fixed at the same time. Too bad they couldn't get the software to load properly and had to keep the car for an extra two days. I guess the 2003 MERCEDES E320 is now fixed in regards to the recall. Nobody returns my calls from SUNRISE MOTORS of MASSAPEQUA from customer service anymore. I left three voice messages and I still have no return call from the customer service department after almost a week. My discussions with the people at MERCEDES regional was just as bad. They just keep telling me to go back and talk to the service manager at SUNRISE MOTORS of MASSAPEQUA to try and get things resolved. They even told me at one point that the MERCEDES E320 with 67,000 miles in two years is "very high" mileage and things like this should be expected. I told them I did not realize that a MERCEDES E320 wore out in under two years from DRIVING IT!!! My mistake for buying the 2003 MERCEDES E320.

I have owned many new cars over the last 30 years of driving including Audi Quattro, Nissan Z300, (2)Chevy Corvettes, Saab Aero, Mitsubishi 3000GT to name a few. I buy them all new and turn them in for a new toy every 3 years.
