My wife was driving in a parking lot when she heard a "Bang" from the front driver's side. The car was towed home. After removing the driver's side wheel, I saw that the torsion spring mount was peeling away from the body allowing the torsion spring to rub against the shock. A repair kit is not available for this defect. The only option is to have a new mount/purch welded in. We are still trying to decide if this is worth fixing. So much for "GERMAN" engineering! Poorest design I ever saw.
