Complaint
Chirping or tapping noise originating in area of front crankshaft pulley when engine cold. Noise may lessen as engine
reaches operating temperature.

Cause
Harmonics from timing chain drive.
Remedy
Replace timing chain tensioner with part A2600502000.
Note: This noise will not cause damage to the engine or other symptoms. The chain tensioner should only be replaced in the event of a customer complaint.
