The contact later pulled over, and upon inspection, discovered that the sunroof glass had shattered. The contact stated that there was no impact to the sunroof that could have caused the sunroof glass to shatter. The vehicle was taken to an auto glass retailer, who installed a plastic cover over the sunroof; however, the sunroof glass was not replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

The contact noticed that the moonroof had fractured in half and then detached. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V197000 (Structure). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
