Early engine failure, it started with the car shaking. Took it to a shop. They say there was no compression on the first cylinder and the only way to fix it was an engine teardown, which mercedes said it would be close to $20,000, or an engine replacement, which has been quoted between $10,000 - $15,000. Since my car is 10,000 miles past the 50,000 warranty, Mercedes basically told me to kick rocks, pay almost the price of the vehicle to fix or buy a new car.
Every mechanic I've spoken to has told me this is an awful vehicle and that Mercedes is no longer making quality vehicles. Do yourself a favor and go for another luxury brand if you are planning to buy a Mercedes C300.
