The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. When the vehicle was started, the collision prevention assist plus inoperative warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that rodents chewed the wiring and the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,800.
