The late 2012 MB M276 engine had a wrist pin problem with the material. 2013 has been fixed. not all engines have this issue. how to check: when the engine is cold, open the hood and start the engine. if the knocking noise occurs - you have a huge problem. you can hear the noise when the rpm are around 500-700. the noise disappears when the engine reaches working temperature (the wrist pin expands from the heat and the connection tides up. hope you do not have this problem. if you have it go and fix it, otherwise the engine will be wrecked by loose connections. good luck.
