Takata safety recall - high death risk this recall began in February 2016, almost two years ago, and to date there has been no resolution. I have received numerous letters, regarding availability of replacement parts, and each letter pushes my priority group lower, due to the assumption that higher humidity increases the associated risks, however that can vary based on annual weather conditions, even in Arizona, where we have had more rainfall and humidity this year. I do not believe for one second that they have been unable to access replacement parts for this recall for two years! Mercedes is clearly stalling and trying to spread out their expense for the recall over several years, rather than taking the hit to their bottom line all at once, without concern for the safety of their consumers, this is completely unacceptable. NHTSA needs to man up and quit granting Mercedes extensions to complete the necessary repairs at the potential peril of the automobile owners. Enough is enough, get the airbags replaced before someone is seriously injured or dies! I can tell you this, if anything happens to anyone in my family, as a result of these explosive airbags, we will sue Mercedes and everyone that allowed this to continue to the fullest extent of the law, of that you can be sure! I will not be purchasing another Mercedes again, my next vehicle will undoubtedly be a BMW, they have much better safety ratings than Mercedes now!

My car has two recalls for the airbags which means my car can not be traded in because it's not resaleable. These recalls are not minority's and we risk serious injury or possible death because Mercedes can fix the problem. Reassuraning knowing if you're ever in an accident your airbags may distinction during impact or be the reason you die. I'm stuck with this car until the remedies are available, but I'm also stuck with risking my life. I started having transmission problems with hesitating to speed up from a stop or slower speed. The dealership said it was my intake manifold flap that needed to be replaced. Of course that wasn't the problem and it's getting worse. I had it looked at again to be told nothing was wrong and no codes were displayed during the diagnostic check. Meanwhile my car gets worse by the week and my transmission feels like something is clearly wrong. For the third time I had it checked and this time had a technician ride with me. He noted the hesitating feeling while driving and validated my concerns. He said he personally believes my transmission is malfunctioning but Mercedes is covering their tails. He suggested I take it to a private mechanic who specializes in Mercedes unless I want to pay $9,000 to Mercedes to be told a range of things need to be fixed and the problem never be solved. Absolute rip off and I'll never buy Mercedes again.

Takata recall Mercedes still has not made any actual repairs on the vehicles. I have been told every month since the initial recall that they are waiting on parts. This is ridiculous! Mercedes has no intention of replacing these airbags, do they? I live and drive in Florida. Mercedes will not provide a loaner vehicle despite numerous requests. When are you going to make the manufacturers live up to their responsibility. A fake recall is a fake recall. Please stop letting them pull the wool over your eyes.

These are known to kill passengers yet no one is doing anything about the car manufacturers taking their good old time replacing them. They should not be allowed to continue selling cars until they have fix the ones they sold that have defects and recalls. What are they waiting for a payout from the takata lawsuit? why is no one doing anything.

I am at my wits end and I don't know what to do to get someone to care. It has been 2 1/2 years since getting my initial recall letter and they still do not have the parts to remedy the situation. Its a huge deal too. The safety warning says thst the driver side air bag can deploy and projectile metal fragments causing severe bodily injury or death to everyone in the car. I originally thought it was the passenger air bag so I have not let anyone sit up front in a long time thinking that would keep us safer but now that I know it's the driver side airbag I can't even do anything to try to help myself until the dealerships decides we matter. For real. Someone is going to die unfortunately and it will be the fault of the manufacturer. I am appalled. I waited 20 years to buy my car. I saved a percentage of my tips and other income from college and when I had enough, I bought my car outright. I wanted this car more than anything being I had very little growing up so this is especially disappointing. I need a remedy to this. 2 1/2 years is unacceptable. Period.

There has been a recall on my airbags for 2 years. This is too long to wait for a solution to be done when I am being told that these airbags if deployed can kill me or my passengers (which are my children) I have been waiting for a remedy but just keep getting told that there is one coming. 2 years is long enough to figure it out. The safety of my children is not something to mess with! please make them fix this problem or buy the dang car back! there is also a problem with the tail light sensor and light itself, it keeps saying to check it and it dims but it's not in need of replacement.
