"takata recall" none of the Mercedes dealerships in the chicagoland area have been able to replace the takata airbag. They continue to say that there are no replacement parts available to remedy this recall, even though the recall notice was sent to me over a year ago.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16V081000 and 16V363000 (air bags). The part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer stated that the notice was just a precaution only. No further assistance was offered. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall. My local mb dealership said my recall remedy was still pending and directed me to the national contact, which said recalls are being done in a phased manner due to lack of parts. Meanwhile, I'm having to drive with a potentially deadly airbag on my car.

"takata recall" I have made appointments and have discussed the situation with patterson in wichita falls tx about the airbag light saying there is a problem. I was told that they (pattersons) does not know what to do about the situation because they have contacted Mercedes about this and they do not know what to do either. I have been driving the car. The light stays on. Have taken it in to be repaired and was told they do not know what to do. Stated when they are told what to do paterson's will contact me. I have never been contacted. I did however have an accident March 2015 and the airbags did not deploy!

Takata recall - I have been notified for close to two years now that my airbag is defective and needs replacement due to the recall. I have been very patient in waiting for a replacement but until today when I received noticed that this company is filing for bankruptcy I feel less confident that there will be a replacement in time. I do not feel comfortable driving my car knowing a defective airbag is in it. When contacting the dealership for a replacement they have advised that they are in back order and this has been going on for close to two years. Something so serious in my car that can potential impact my family an I is unacceptable and should be fixed immediately. I don't feel I can enjoy my car fully due to the constant concern of these recalled airbags in my car.

Takata recall I received recall notices on may and August 2016 from Mercedes Benz usa to replace the driver's side and passenger side airbags which states that they may rupture due to excessive internal pressure, likely to occur if vehicle is exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time, possibly causing serious injury or death. I live in South Florida and the temps have been in the 100S with off the charts humidity every month! I live in fear of driving my car and dying in an airbag explosion. Weekly calls to the Mercedes dealer said they don't have the parts yet! my husband's 2007 Honda ridgeline was replaced immediately. Could you please explain why it's taking so long to fix this dangerous defect for my car? thank you.
