Transmission encounters hard shifts when placed into drive or reverse. These hard shifts are noticed also from 1 to 2nd and harder thru 3rd gear. This car is poorly built, steering wheel makes noises when making a full turn. Also noticeable noise from the engine when taking off. so far I have had (4 warranty work done) and seems like many issues keep arising......Ford built Japanese named!!

I know this vehicle is a mirror make of the Ford Escape. Yesterday I accidentally placed the shift lever on 2 (instead of D)and I noticed the car was weak. I then looked at the shifter and placed in "D" and it down shifted to 1st as I was taking off. It seems there is a software glitch. This problem isn't noticeable, unless you place it in 2nd gear and you are at a complete stop and then taking off.
