Highly irritated to have only a little over 60,000 and the transfer case is shot. I take my car in religiously for the routine oil changes and the shop I use does not check the trans case unless there are visible leaks. I recently had them check out a noise that started after driving in a winter storm. Come to learn that there was no oil left in the transfer case but, there were metal shavings and pieces of metal. This is highly unusual I'm told when there are no visible leaks. The oil should not need to have been replaced at all this soon either. Am at a loss on who to contact about this and believe it is likely a manufacturer error.
