The gas pedal started to stick a few years ago only in cold weather. Recently, it is doing it more and more. This is a major pain in the ass. Needless to say it is extremely dangerous...not only for me and my passengers, but for everyone else on the road that is around my vehicle. The pedal function used to go back to normal, but lately it seems to stick more then be normal.
I am fearful of driving this SUV now since I cannot accelerate properly onto a highway. I try to step down on accelerator as hard as I can, but it takes a while to break free from sticking. I pulled out of a side street this morning only to find my car did not want to accelerate since the pedal got stuck again. I was not a happy camper! I thought I was going to get into an accident. I am sure I am not the only Mazda Tribute owner with this problem.
Why is Mazda not doing anything about this issue? It appears that a recall needs to be issued on this problem. I've seen numerous complaints on this, but nothing has been done on Mazda's side. WTF?
