Was driving on highway and had to hit the brakes because of unexpected stopping car in front of me - did not have to hit hard but enough to slow down. Heard a thump right after that in the front end and then noticed that the abs and 4 whl drive lights were on. Abs stays on all the time but the 4 whl drive light flashes. I checked the manuel and then took to a local garage to have checked. Was told all seemed ok with the mechanics but no explanation why the lights were on. Per the mechanic the computer would give no reading so it was assumed that the problem was electrical and involved the computer. Now not only are the lights still on but am starting to have problems with the brakes not working properly. Sometimes they work fine sometimes they dont. Have seen some complaints on this same problem and I am headed for the dealership soon but want as much information on this problem as possible. If you have this same issue or know what the fix is please respond with an email.
