Contacted the dealer and directed to call Mazda Corp. - Was told by Mazda Corp - it's not a issue and that it's normal for the Florida sun to cause such issues - (Mazda - Not willing to assist - however they are willing to sell a replacement passenger side dash section at the cost of $980.00 not including Labor) - Just received a recall last week Passenger Side airbag (Thursday - Aug 4, 2016) and the dealer informed me that when they replace the Passenger Side Airbag, the Dash Cover (over the Air bag area) my break apart completely leaving the airbag exposed. I have contacted the NTSB (Auto division) Telephone # 202-366-9550. They registered my complaint and told me to continue to contact Mazda Corp. This appears to be a safety issue that Mazda has known about for a long time - however - they will not address and continue to pass the buck and appear to not even care. (Maybe some one will need to die first - but then they (Mazda) will more than likely still say it's something the owner has done.) - All RX8 owners need to call and register a complaint with the US Government please call telephone # 202-366-9550 - Mazda needs to correct this ongoing issue.
