My van started to cut out and miss so I had it looked at. I was told that I needed to have the number 3 ignition coil changed. So I got the money up and had it done on the 3rd of march. I had to wait till the 6th for it to be done. I had them change all three coils on the back of the motor and change all of the plugs while they were there. I drove the car home and parked it. The next day was my day to visit my mother at the nursing home so I got in the van and went over there. All was still well with the van, running great. I went to leave there and go home and when I started the van it was missing again almost as bad as before. I got it fixed and now it smelled like something was burning. I called the mechanic and was told to bring it in the next day. I took it in and the guy said it was the number 3 coil again and since he just changed it that it now has to be the fuel injector in the number 3 cylinder. He said that the burning smell was because the injector was over spraying the fuel and it was filing out the spark plug and messing up the coil. Oh and by the way the engine light has never come on. I just used all the money I had to buy this van 6 months ago and what little I had saved now to have the coils and plugs changed. I am just sick over all of this. Has anyone else had this problem with their 2006 Mazda MPV LX?
