The message "display is too hot. Screen performance may be decreased until it cools.", appeared within weeks after purchase of this new car. No reason for the display to be hot. The message will appear within minutes after starting the car. The message appeared when it was slightly sunny out or full sun, sometimes when cloudy, around 40-70 degrees fahrenheit, and appeared way too frequently to be considered normal operation. The dealership was unable to replicate my issue but I asked them to take another look and take more time with the vehicle, and once they replicated it, they replaced the CMU. Covered under warranty but very disappointing for a new car.
Replacing the CMU did NOT resolve the issue. The message returned within months with the same frequency and randomness. The new dealership I took it to has yet to resolve the issue.
