Affected Component: VISIBILITY
- Summary
- Some vehicles may exhibit a condition where the power outer mirror will not fold in and/or out when the outer mirror holding switch (1) is operated. This may be caused by: 1. The electric fold-in unit inside the outer mirror may be damaged by corrosion from water entry due to insufficient water tightness. 2. The electric fold-in unit may interfere with the outer mirror frame due to improper installation of the electric fold-in unit. 3. The friction around the shaft of the folding mechanism may increase To eliminate this concern, the following changes have been implemented: 1. The overlapping part of the water-proof sealing inside the electric fold-in unit (it cannot be seen from the outside) has been extended and the flange (1) has been attached instead of a water proof seal. 2. The height of the mirror frame rib has been changed. 3. The material of the washer has been changed and another washer has been added to the shaft
