This is my second post on this transmission. First one went out at 84,000 miles. This was a brand new transmission from Mazda and it started having problems after 3,000 miles and it only had 4,000 miles before Mazda said this one had to be replaced again. They found metal shavings in it. This was confirmed by a Mazda technician from corporate in Irvine before the dealer was aloud to replace it since it was under their 1 year 12,000 mile warranty for a new transmission.
Now, of course I have some concerns. Called Mazda corporate office and was told that they will not offer a longer warranty on this 3rd transmission, just the 1 year 12,000 miles. They told me I can purchase one from the dealer. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy another Mazda car. I will tell everyone I talk to about it as well. Way to stand behind your product, Mazda.
