I've had to replace the low beams on my Mazda 6 several times. The last time was less than 2 weeks ago and already the driver side is burned out. I don't understand why there hasn't been a recall on this considering I see a ton of people with the same issue??? It's a pain because I have to take it to the dealership for them to replace. I don't have the time or money to continue doing this. I wanted to save this car to give to my teenage son but I don't want to give him a car that has the headlights burning out constantly!!

I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY EXTERIOR LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS BLOWING OUT PRETTY FREQUENTLY; SPECIALLY A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. I HAVE CHANGED OUT THE LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS ANYWHERE TO EVERY 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR.

WHEN IT FIRST HAPPENED, I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE AUTOMATIC SETTING OF THE LIGHTS COMING ON AND OFF. I TURNED THAT OFF AND THEY ARE STILL BLOWING OUT, TYPICALLY ON THE DRIVER SIDE! EVERY TIME YOU TAKE IT TO BE REPAIRED, IT IS $65.00 OR BETTER TO CHANGE THE LIGHT, AND THAT IS NOT FROM THE DEALERSHIP!

IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING ELECTRICAL GOING ON FOR IT TO KEEP BLOWING OUT! THIS NEEDS TO BE RESOLVE, BECAUSE IT IS QUITE EXPENSIVE TO KEEP REPAIRING FOR A LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHT AND IT IS VERY ANNOYING!

My low beams keep burning out. I just noticed yesterday the left one is out again. I have lost count of how many I have changed. Frustrating! I have complained to the dealership, but to no avail. Not only is this a safety issue, over time it gets expensive. I also hate having to take the vehicle in to the shop. That is a real time waster.

Two weeks ago a rear brake light blew. I replaced it myself.

Interestingly, I also have a 2008 Volvo. GREAT car! I have never had one light burn out on that car, even though it is several years older.

Mazda has a problem. I just can’t understand my this is allowed to continue without a recall. Dangerous!

My wife and I really like the Mazda, nonetheless, she told me yesterday that she would never buy another one due to this issue. I agree.

About a year ago I replaced both low beam lights (odd that they both burned out at the same time). Now one is out again. I read about hitting the headlight and sure enough it came back on. Called dealer and they claim they've never heard of this problem. When will Mazda recall on this? Very dangerous to have a headlight or 2 out suddenly.

We have changed the lights out three times, usually occurs about monthly. Thought it was the light, nope, just kick or hit the light and it comes back on. Changing the light bulb, you have to take the tire and panels off. Ready to trade the car off because of this...Other that this, love the car..

We bought our 2012 Mazda 6 in February 2014. Within 6 weeks the first low beam head light blew out. Took it to our Mazda dealer and replaced both low beams, because we were told that if one goes out the other may blow out soon. No problem, seemed reasonable. So we replaced them. However, within 2 months the drivers side low beam blew out again. Took the car to our local garage and replaced it. Several month later we had another bulb blow out. Took it back to the Mazda dealer and asked it there was a problem with the lighting system with Mazdas. Assured us that there was not and replaced the bulb, AGAIN! A couple more months passed and by September both lights blew out and had to drive home from the hospital at midnight using only fog lights. Again the Mazda dealer said no problem, must be a fluke. Replaced both bulbs and started researching problem with Mazda and headlights. Apparently there have been problems with earlier models, but Mazda had supposedly corrected the problem. So, by 2015 we had replaced the low beam headlights 6 times. During the last year we have replaced the headlights 2 more times and the last time the dealer said "here, just take this extra one I have lying here in my desk" and gave us the model number so we could replace the bulbs ourselves when they went out again! Model #0000-11-0H7. Well as of yesterday, 03/22/2016 the passenger side light has blown out again. This will be the 10th time in 2 years that we have had to replace a low beam headlight. We are ready to unload this car!!! If it is a fluke it must be a design fluke and I wonder how many people keep replacing their headlights because of this fluke??? If we don't get this resolved this time, we are contacting the Better Business Bureau and our State Attorney General about suing Mazda and the Mazda Dealer who keeps telling us that there is no problem!!
