Hello, I have 2012 Mazda6 was involved in a previous Safety Recall in regards to a rusting engine subframe. I was informed to bring my car in my local Mazda Dealer. My car has serious rusting issues with my subframe, Mazda decided in lieu of replacing the subframe they attached a subframe brace. While having my car serviced the mechanic and I noticed SEVERE rusting at the subframe which this recall was suppose to taken cared of. Ive attached a couple of pics but I have more that details the severe rusting. I feel a little disheartened that this recall fix the issue adequately. I want to 100% confident that the car is truely safe to drive for me and my family.

There was a recall on the door latches back in 2013 which I got repaired. Today 10/20/2019 after driving on highway 15 South dropping off my kids my son went to close the back passenger door that did not close I had to purchase rope and tape to hold it close so I could drive back home going on the 15 North highway. This is a huge safety issue I would like to have this issue fix asap I will call the dealer tomorrow and hope they can repair without me coming out of pocket

On July 18, 2018 I was in frontal impact accident. While driving on a city street. I was alone and driving I did not have a phone in my possession or in the car at that time. The vehicle that hit me was traveling at least 40 miles an hour. The upper and side airbags did not deflate, the front airbag deflated sideways and missed my face completely. My torso hit the steering wheel and my sternum was fractured. My right ankle was bruised, scraped and sprained. Because of the severe pain I was in, I was not able to get out of the vehicle on my own. I carried out of the vehicle and laid on the grass. I was taken by ambulance in severe pain and could not stand or sit up I was diagnosed with a fractured sternum and sprained right ankle. Car is totaled $11,000 worth of damage. I have not been able to work in 3 weeks because of the severity of the fracture on my sternum.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Mazda 6. the contact stated that there was a crack on the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (escondido Mazda in escondido, ca, 760-755-5900) and was informed that there was no recall for the dashboard. About two years later, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V429000 (air bags). The dealer was contacted (browning Mazda in cerritos, ca, 562-924-1414) and the technician promised to check for part availability. The technician did not call back. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the dashboard was not covered by a recall. The failures were not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

I bought my Mazda 6 second hand, and I noticed that when the sun gets hot the dashboard starts literally melting. The smell when is hot is like some kind of chemical. Also the shiny surface interfere with the drivers view.

Over the past few months I noticed the passenger side dashboard of my 2012 Mazda 6 was becoming sticky and looked as if it were melting. It also began to emit a smell and cracks began to develop while becoming more reflective than the driver's side which remains normal. I bought this car used in good condition from a dealership. After notifying the nearest Mazda dealership they stated no recalls had been made and my best hopes for a solution was to have them inspect and photograph the car's dashboard and hope that Mazda may give me some credit toward replacing the it. Though I will take my Mazda 6 to a dealership for evaluation, I was unsatisfied with this response and learned there is a class action lawsuit describing exactly the same problem my Mazda 6 is experiencing with the dashboard. Please let me know what my options are?
