: the contact owns a 2005 Mazda 6. while driving 25 mph in normal conditions, the left frontal side curtain airbags deployed without incident. The airbag light did not illuminate at any time. There was no crash or obvious road hazard. The contact was wearing a seatbelt, but sustained minor injuries as a result of the airbag deployment. The police were contacted and a report was taken. The vehicle was towed to the dealership for further inspection. The dealership discovered a hole in the plastic cover in the front of the undercarriage, there were also small scratcheson the drivers side rail frame. The impact was most likely from 2 weeks prior. Vehicle was in an accident. Owner was driving at approximately 5 mph while turning at an intersection, the oncoming vehicle was going about 45 mph, and T-boned the owners vehicle. Upon impact, the side air bags failed to deploy.
