passenger sliding door latch would not latch on cold morning
This complaint sounds similar to service bulletin number 06V463000 and recall number 4306k. The service bulletin states that the side door latch mechanisms may experience water intrusion allowing the latch mechanism to freeze in cold weather. Once the door latch worked, I took the car to the local Mazda dealer. The dealer informed me that my car was not included in the recall. The service department informed me that they consulted with their Mazda service representative. The Mazda representative confirmed that my vehicle was not part of the recall. I think the scope of the recall may need to be further examined.
