The contact owns a 2006 Mazda Mazda5. The contact stated that the latch on the rear passenger and driver side doors seized and fractured while the door ajar warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Mazda Mazda5. The vehicle was previously repaired under the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 06V463000 (latches/locks/linkages:doors:latch). Approximately two years later while the vehicle was parked the contact noticed that the rear drivers side door was stuck in a partially opened position. The contact attempted to open the door from the interior and exterior but the door would not open. After repeated attempts the contact was able to open the door from the exterior. Once the door opened the door handle fractured from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the failure was not diagnosed and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 39,000 and the current mileage was 44,000. The VIN was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2006 Mazda5. The rear passenger side door would not lock. The contact poured hot water on the door. While driving in reverse at an unknown speed, the door opened. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for NHTSA campaign id number 06V463000 (latches/locks/linkages:doors:latch). The contact returned to the dealer and they stated that the doors were working and replaced all of the door locks. The manufacturer stated that unless the vehicle could be taken to the dealer with the locks frozen, they would be unable to assist. The current and failure mileages were 27,000.
