The AWD Mazda3 hatch should be getting much higher fuel economy according to its epa ratings. I do not drive erratically but I suspect that the gear ratios must not be tuned correctly.

Bought this car in February of this year, absolutely love everything about it except its poor fuel economy. I understand its a bigger 4 cylinder than most being 2.5L but this thing drinks gas like a V6. Have to drive it like my grandmother to get anywhere near EPA ratings. Otherwise is a blast to drive for the price tag
