I was called in for a recall on the display. I was told it was not my display but my CMU. NOT COVERED, OF COURSE!
I tried to call Mazda Canada and was told it was not their problem. I spoke to a Patrick who would not forward or transfer me to anyone above him.
What I tried to explain is the issue seems to be wide spread with this model and CMU needs replacing after warranty has expired. This was not a concern for Patrick and I guess Mazda. If they care to check online, they can easily see this is a manufactures problem and should be supported and taken care of by them.
Touch screen just failed and the car only has 33K. Very disappointent. The rest of the mazda connect works fine but this should not be happening. I suspect heat may be the cause.
Update from Dec 7, 2018: This complaint was for my 2014 Mazda hatch white. I have 2 Mazda 3's with similar problems
