Want to make a conclusion first.
NEVER NEVER buy a Mazda not only it's problem but their customer services.
I brought the MAZDA3 in March, 2013 in Sacramento. Less than a month, the battery was dead. They told me the battery was fine and I need to drive every day. ( How could they did not tell me before buying the car? But my Honda and Toyata have have this problem.) I had this problem repeatedly and they finally decided to exchange a new battery. In Nov. 2015, I took a few week trip. When I cam home, the battery is dead. When I called Mazda Sacramento dealer, the customer service ladies all tried to give me a hard time. First they told me to call my insurance for road side service. Another lady refused to give me a warranty department number and asked me to look up the contract myself. As I demanded, a lady supervisor told me that my car is not under warranty since it has been over two years. I was very upset and said I will tell everyone NOT to buy a Mazda. Then she transferred me to a service manager who then said my car is under 3 years/ 36,000 miles warranty. And apology for those knowledgeable customer services. If I was not upset, I would be treated fairly. Do you want to buy a car every time you have to spend time to argue emotionally to get the job done?? NOOO.
Do not buy the MAZDA3 because you have to keep driving to avoid draining battery from POOR electrical design even if it is a new car. Especially they try NOT to spend time and work to help you when you need.
