Rear Motor Mount Failure
2008 Mazda MAZDA3
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Mazda dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: Except for a minor issue with cracked motor mounts, the 2008 MAZDA3 is a fantastic vehicle with a great reputation.
If you need to replace the motor mounts, first ask your dealer if they'll cover it -- the motor mounts were dealt with in a TSB & were recalled for some model years. Otherwise buy aftermarket motor mounts -- owners report this solves the problem. If you use the same OEM parts, they may just crack again.

- Worth It - About $100 for the part installation is pretty easy if you have a little car knowledge, having it done at mechanic shouldn't cost too much. Car shifts better, better throttle response, less hesitation at low rpms and no more wheel hop in the rain!

Vehicle driven by girlfriend as a daily commuter, it seemed like the transmission was slipping, my dad is a mechanic so it was an easy task for him to find the issue with the vehicle, he gets cheap prices on auto parts so we end up paying like $60 obviously no labor charge, the material of the OEM part is crap! wont last long if you drive more than 50 miles daily. hope this helps some one out there.
