I've had this issue happen several times (probably six) since getting the car in January 2019. The system says connecting to XM but then it has an error saying it cannot connect to XM. I have pulled over and shut the car off and restarted it but that doesn't always work. I've performed soft resets of the system (back + nav + mute) but that doesn't always work. I've had XM send a refresh signal. That never works. I haven't seen any rhyme or reason as to when the problem occurs or how it resolves itself (it just suddenly works when I restart the car later--not usually the first time I restart it, though).
