P 255 / 50 R 20 104V M+S tread physically detached while driving at 70MPH Was able to steer and stop the vehicle and avoid a crash, partially due to fewer traffic on the road and the tire in question was on the rear driver side. Was able to replace the tire with my insurance. However no intimation about the failure was mentioned or no further action taken about safety of other tires previously on the vehicle The incident took place suddenly with a huge noise due to the broken tire hitting the wheel well and ripping off the fender.
