7/30, I was traveling on I4 and all the dash light started flashing so I exited and turned off the vehicle. I reviewed my handbook and decided to drive to the nearest dealer. The vehicle initially would not crank but then did start but I could not shift it out of park. I had to be towed and the dealer did not have a loaner, even though this is a leased vehicle. I had to rent a car. The dealer, Ed Morris, in Lakeland, called me on 7/31 advising vehicle was repaired. They replaced the Top Lamp Brake Lamp Switch. I drove straight home, approximately 25 miles from dealer and parked the vehicle.
The morning, 8/1/18, I was leaving to run errands and again the vehicle would not shift out of park. They are sending a tow truck to take it back to Mazda in Lakeland. Is this an ongoing problem with this vehicle? This is our 3rd Mazda cx9 and the first with this kind of problem. The last one had AC issues and we turned in the lease early for this 2016 Mazda. I think they should have a loaner car since it's under warranty and is a lease vehicle!
