Mazda TSB #06-003-14-2984
2011 Mazda CX-9
TSB Document:
Affected Component: EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY
- Summary
- SOME VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT AN ABNORMAL STEERING FEEL AND/OR NOISE WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN FREEZING TEMPERA-TURES, HOWEVER, THERE IS NO LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.THIS MAY BE DUE TO OIL SEEPAGE FROM THE POWER STEERING OIL PUMP PRESSURE SWITCH (A). THE OIL SEEPAGE IS CAUSED BY POOR SEALING OF THE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH O-RING AT LOW TEMPERATURE. THE SHAPE AND MATERIAL OF THE O-RING HAS BEEN CHANGED TO IMPROVE LOW TEMPERATURE SEALING PERFORMANCE.
