Mazda TSB #09-020-22a
2021 Mazda CX-5
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some vehicles may exhibit a warning message displayed in the center display a few seconds after the brake system warning light in the instrument cluster has flashed for a moment at the time of departure or stop of the vehicle. This is caused by improper control logic of the gateway unit (GWU). To eliminate this concern, the logic of the GWU has been changed so that a failure determination is not made unless a signal of the brake fluid level sensor lowering has been continued for more than 5 seconds. NOTE: - This modification is only to prevent the warning message displayed in the center display due to changes in the fluid level. Therefore, the brake warning light may be still momentarily illuminated in the instrument cluster when the fluid level fluctuates by vehicle movement. - If the brake system warning light still stays on, the brake fluid amount may be low. In that case, diagnose the vehicle according to the instructions on MGSS.
