I'm 77 years old and never ever did I hear anyone complain about Dash Board Lights being too bright. Obviously Mazda owners bitterly complained that the Information gauge (3rd gauge from the left on the instrument cluster) was apparently blinding them to the point of (dare I say it?) invoking the LEMON LAW. The Engineers at Mazda were understandably depressed as they already knew that they made up the story about people complaining about the Information gauge being too bright and now had too cover it up. They knew damn well that the Sun was washing out the information gauge as well as the Infotainment backing-up Camera under certain conditions such as a consistently rising Sun. THEY COULDN'T FIX IT...
The Mazda Gurus at my Dealership said that it was what it was... THAT'S COOL.
What I need to know (even if it voids my Warranty) is if there is a way for me to block off the Sensor that the idiots installed to dim the Info Gauge and to make it permanently as bright as the other two gauges? They already had me tape over the Sensor in the middle of the top of the dashboard near the Windshield but it didn't help but I let it be taped over anyway.
You need to know that I'm the only Mazda CX-5 Owner that has this problem because I'm the first time I ever heard of it... WHAT?
