It is a serious safety issue to have the DRL inoperable.
It is inexcusable that Mazda designed an extremely expensive headlight that does not allow the replacement of the DRL bulb. They compounded the design issue by using a gasket that leaks causing the corrosion that causes the lights to fail. There is a pending lawsuit filed in California on 2016 Mazda's CX-5 with this problem. 2014 cars like mine have the same problem.
