Short and sweet here:
The car was purchased used from a joe blow dealer. 1 week after paying, the issues was noticed. 1. The problem started with the car not shifting or having a delay in the shifts. 2. We thought it may be normal but it progressively got worse. 3. We contacted the dealer who gave us a $2100 value warranty. 4. After bringing it to many transmission shops we settled on one who was helpful. 5. Warranty company was called for the issue. 6. After debate and discussion warranty company agreed to cover it. 7. Instead of a rebuilt trans valuing at $2800, the warranty company covered a replacement trans with one used. 8. The trans was installed which fixed the problem. Issue is resolved for 2 days going strong.
We tried the following first: Trans flush Trans computer update
We were told the issue could also be one of these instead of the trans: Mass airflow sensor Throttle body Torque converter
Again, the issue seems to have been only resolved by a replacement/rebuilt trans. Thanks.
