Driving on RT 42 north in New Jersey this morning. Went to apply the brakes and the car bucks because the engine accelerates. There is not much time to react since it occurs as you slow down and closing in on a car in front of you. This time the car did not stop in time and hit a pickup truck in the rear. Most likely hit their trailer hitch. There was no real damage to either vehicle. This has happen at least two time before. The event today was too close for comfort and it is happening with more frequency. I took the car to Pacifico Ford in PA on 5/23 and they found nothing. Plan to take it back again.
This has happened 3 times. I'm not sure of the dates of the other 2 incidents. Twice while stopped and once with the cruise control on at 70 mph. The engine revving only lasts 2 or 3 seconds but it could possibly cause an accident.
