Bought my Mazda cx 3 new from a Mazda agent but had problems with the transmission from the beginning. The sales team didn't really know or wanted to resolve my issue and said that it's still new and the gears have to be ridden in. So they suggested me to ride the car and try to bed the gears in but that's where the problem lays it's not the gears but the 2nd gear syncro that is worn or faulty. Every time you shift you could feel a rough shift and later it became audible with a GRRRRR sound shifting from 1 st to 2nd gear but this only happens every 6 to 9 shifts
The Mazda agent tried to solve the issue by draining the oil and replacing it with fresh oil, the gearbox had less than a 1000 km on the clock but that didn't work so I took it back, round two the same thing happened but Mazda South Africa told them to put in ATF oil. Yes ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) in a manual shift gearbox???. So the Mazda agent told me to take the car for a test drive about 130 km and bring it back for the verdict. And No the gearbox reacted in a very bad way and all the gears started to grind.
So round 3 they kept my car for 5 weeks and the agent requested a new gearbox from Mazda South Africa but was told that they must put in Mazda special oil instead of the new gearbox. The car was delivered to my door step and the agent said that I must drive it. The next morning I drove the car to work with the gearbox still grinding in 2nd gear.
This is not acceptable from a company that make's millions of dollars selling cars Mazda South Africa doesn't care about there customers.
