Mazda TSB #06-004-19-3591
2017 Mazda CX-3
TSB Document:
Affected Component: STEERING
- Summary
- Some customers may find a piece of aluminum tape and/or black liquid on the driver side floor. The aluminum tape may have dropped from the bottom of the steering column and the black liquid is grease that has melted and dripped onto the floor. This concern is caused by the grease from the power steering motor seeping out and loosening the adhesive on the aluminum tape. Parking in the sun can create high interior temperatures which may melt the grease and loosen the adhesive. To eliminate this concern, a housing cover has been added to the affected area of the steering column.
