Starts at 2500 rpms. After about a minute it spits every few seconds for about a dozen times like it's trying to slow down, then quits spitting and gradually ( in 5 to 10 minutes) DOES slow down to 750/800 rpms. Then runs GREAT. Stops and starts perfect until it sits for an hour or so, then does the same thing all over again. The guy I bought it from said it sat up for about 2 years and was only started "sometimes". He seemed real honest and up front, he was a used car dealer, ( but he said )this had been his personal car. I've talked to several mechanics, put in a new thermostat and new coolant sensor. There are no warning lights coming on on the dash board. MAYBE throttle position sensor???Thanks for any help/suggestions/comments etc. Jbz.
