We contacted Bergen County Maserati many times and spoke with their service department and their manager Nelson Guerrero. We tried to deal with Maserati of North America. We got absolutely nowhere and we have had issues with the car ever since we got it.

We leased a Quattroporte in April 2014 from Maserati of Bergen County . Fifteen hundred miles later, the brakes in the car started making loud screeching sounds. While driving in town, people were looking to see where the sound was coming from instead of noticing the car.

As soon as the weather hit below freezing we noticed that that car's tires were making rubbing noise and the radio was not turning on.

We reported these problems to the dealer and were told to bring the car in for service, however that a loaner was not going to be available. This was not a viable option for us. We leased a Maserati and would like to drive a Maserati. The dealership's service department, in particular Tom Brennan, promised to have a loaner in a "couple of weeks". We never heard back. We called back and spoke to the manager who said that the loaner may not be available for a while and we should rent a car. That rental would be reimbursed up to $50 per day. Again, we did not lease a Maserati to drive a rental car, not to mention an inconvenience and time that it would entail.

As time went by and no one bothered to follow up on the problems we were experiencing with the vehicle, we encountered a new, more time pressing problem - the gas pedal got stuck while my husband was driving. He was accelerating down the hill with no ability to release the gas pedal. Luckily, he was able to put his foot under the pedal and pull the pedal up. Needless to say, we immediately reported this to the dealership. Again, we were told that we should bring the car but a loaner is not available.

At his point, we contacted the Corporate Headquarters of North America. She listened to my complaints and promised to take action. Apparently, her action was to revert the problems back to the dealership who did not call us back until we contacted Cathy again. The dealership said they will have a loaner for us "next week". This was two months ago. No one called back. Not the dealership, not the corporate.

The gas pedal got stuck again today for the third time, on April 18th with 2 of my young children in the car.

At this point, my husband and I will take every possible measure to resolve this matter. We will be reporting this to Maserati Headquarters in Italy. We will tell our friends, family and business associates to stay away from Maserati. We will be posting this story in all available social media websites - Facebook, maseratilife.com, lemonlaw.com, carcomplaints.com, etc. We will of course report this to New Jersey Consumer Affairs Department. We may even go further and pursue a class action against Maserati since we noticed many other Maserati owners complaining of the same issues and getting the same customer service.
