2006 Lincoln Zephyr. Consumer writes in regards to defective wheel rims. The consumer stated for the last year-and-A-half, he has been losing air in at least one of his tires. Approximately six months ago, he noticed he had been losing air in three tires. An independent dealer inform him that the loss of air was due to corrosion and chrome flaking off the wheel rim. He recommended that the consumer replace all four of the wheels rims. Because of the high cost of the wheel rims, the consumer decided to monitor the air loss and add air as needed. Over the last few months, in three tires, he began losing between 10-20 pounds of air over a four or five day period. The other tire maintained air pressure. The manufacturer agreed to replace two of the rims.
