Just purchased the car used. Assured by CARMAX that problem would be fixed. CARMAX replaced gasket seal around trunk but that didn't resolve problem. CARMAX is working to resolve issue. LINCOLN dealer states 'Known issue with Town Car trunks' just have to live with it. I plan to take it to another dealer. Have found a posting on a forum that says issue may be around chrome license plate holder and the seal around it. Will request CARMAX to replace the holder and seal and see if that resolves the problem.
