I recently had open heart surgery and need to get the passenger side air bag disabled. My Lincoln dealer will disable the air bag but they need some statement from your Agency to allow the to complete the disable. Takata recall as an 83 year old senior citizen, just recently widowed in May 2015, I was forced to purchase another Lincoln, because of the airbag in my 2003 Lincoln did not function at all doing a head on collision, hitting a concrete wall
The contact owned a 2003 Lincoln Town car. While driving at approximately 40 mph, the axle fractured causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. As a result, the contact crashed into a concrete divider. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries reported. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was not available.
Consumer's vehicle was hit on the left front side with at an angle by another another car traveling approximately 40-. the driver's air bag deployed, but the passenger air bag did not. Consumer very concerned because collision caused extensive damage to vehicle including a bent frame. Consumer feels the severity of the collision should have caused the passenger side bag to deploy.
